WELCOME!

We are pleased that you are considering Monticello Christian Children's Center.  We are a weekday ministry portion of Monticello United Methodist Church. We offer Younger and Older Kid's Day Out, Preschool for 3 and 4 year olds with optional extended care, and P.M. Kindergarten care.  We also offer summer care and summer Kid's Day Out 3 - 9 years old.

We offer Tours!  Tours are offered from September to May on Tuesday and Thrusday at 10:00 a.m.  Please call for a tour at: (913) 441-1473.

Teacher Excellence:  Highest quality most have EVER  seen.  45 - Average age teachers, 6 - with masters degrees, 11 - with BA degrees, 10 - are veteran teachers!  With us for over 10 years of service and 17 year Director (former teacher).  MANY PRESCHOOL TEACHERS ARE DEGREED WITH KANSAS STATE ELEMENTARY TEACHING CERTIFICATES!

Letter of the Week:  Children will experience fun in learning when using the letter of the week during snack and show n' tell.  The teachers will also introduce fun toys into the classroom that start with that week's letter.

Other Preschool teaching activities include:  Homemade academic sticker jobs - matching activities, manipulative math, counting manipulative.  Children will be awarded stickers for completing these jobs.

Center Time:  Children choose centers for work and play.  At the end of center time each child will "recall" where they were what they enjoyed in that center.

Bible Verses:  Are taught to coincide with a familiar tune.
